-named "Kaleidoscope"
-received a blue ribbon at the Mid-Illini Conference Art Show Here's the story behind it: My dad and I were briskly walking through Chicago O'Hare International airport at midnight on a Thursday night. As I rounded a corner and saw this vibrant tunnel, I found myself in awe with the jovial emptiness that stretched before me. I stopped dead in my tracks and quickly begged my dad to let me unpack the camera from my suitcase (thank goodness I put it in my carry-on!). Then, I situated myself in the very middle of the floor to capture the beautiful symmetry the architect had created. Fun fact: I only took one picture. This is unusual for me, but it was meant to be (my dad calls it my "one shot wonder"). This photo remains my favorite to this day. One day there will be a new favorite, but for now I can still feel my soul brighten up when I look down that kaleidoscope tunnel.
